Sudanese Paramilitaries Reportedly Kill at Least 2,000 People After Seizing El Fasher
Sudan’s government says the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group has killed at least 2,000 people in the three days since it seized control of the city of El Fasher in the Darfur region. This comes as the World Health Organization says it’s appalled by reports that 460 patients and their companions were slaughtered at the Saudi Maternity Hospital in El Fasher. New satellite images reveal bodies scattered across El Fasher in Darfur after the recent Janjaweed militia attack. The ‘blood of Sudan’ massacre has shocked the world, with the United Nations calling for urgent humanitarian intervention. As El Fasher’s humanitarian crisis continues to drastically deteriorate, the Rapid Support Forces reportedly makes further gains against besieged garrison units mainly composed of former Darfuri rebels and their Sudanese Armed Forces allies.

A fourth body was found not to be a hostage. Israeli forensic teams identify the four dead hostages returned on Monday as three Israelis and a Nepalese citizen, all of whom were kidnapped during the October 7 attacks.
